Booking terms and conditions

KC Hotel San José is a hotel located at Calle Morenos, Mata Redonda, San José, Costa Rica · Postal code 10108. What you book on this site is the accommodation in the room and dates you choose, for the number of guests stated, with whatever the displayed rate includes (for example, breakfast). Additional services (day pass, restaurant, transfers) are booked separately.

- Rates are per room, per night, for the occupancy you choose.

- Online payments are charged in US dollars (USD). If your card is in another currency, your bank applies its own exchange rate and fees.

- The amount you see before paying is the final amount charged, with applicable taxes included.

- Rates may vary by season and availability. Booking direct on this site guarantees the best available rate.

There are two ways to book on this site:

- Pay and confirm. You pay by card right away and the booking is confirmed instantly. You receive a confirmation email with your booking number, and the booking is registered in the hotel's system.

- Request without paying. You send a request and the hotel contacts you to arrange payment (on this site, by SINPE Móvil or bank transfer). A request is NOT a booking: the room is not held and availability is not guaranteed until the hotel receives your payment and confirms it to you.

- We accept Visa and Mastercard through Banco Promerica's payment gateway (CyberSource), with 3-D Secure authentication.

- You enter your card details directly in the bank's secure form. This site never sees, receives or stores your card number.

- The charge appears on your statement under the hotel's name. Keep the confirmation email: it is your proof of payment.

- Bookings paid online are final: they cannot be cancelled or refunded, in whole or in part, for any reason, including no-shows.

- This condition is shown to you before you pay and you accept it when you complete the payment.

- If you need to change your dates, write to us as soon as possible: changes are handled as a courtesy, subject to availability and to the current rate, and do not generate a refund.

- Requests without payment can be withdrawn free of charge at any time before paying.

- Check-in: from 3:00 PM.

- Check-out: by 12:00 PM (noon).

- Early arrivals or late departures may be requested and depend on availability.

- Luggage storage is available for guests arriving before check-in or leaving after check-out.

- A valid ID (national ID or passport) is required on arrival. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

- Guests are responsible for any damage they cause to the room or hotel areas during their stay.

- The hotel reserves the right of admission in case of behaviour that affects the safety or comfort of other guests.

- Smoking inside the rooms is not allowed.

The hotel is not responsible for valuables left in the room outside the safe, nor for events of force majeure (natural disasters, utility outages, orders from the authorities) that prevent it from providing the service. In such cases the hotel will offer alternative dates.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica. Any dispute will be resolved before the courts of San José, Costa Rica.
