Welcome to KC Hotel San Jose. By accessing our website, making a reservation, or staying at our property, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read carefully — they describe the rights and responsibilities of guests and the hotel.
Reservations and Rates
- Room rates are quoted per room, per night. A complimentary breakfast buffet is included in most rate plans — confirm at the time of booking.
- Prices are subject to applicable Costa Rican taxes (currently 13% VAT + tourism tax).
- Room rates may vary by season, availability, and booking channel. Booking direct guarantees the best available rate.
- Special requests (early check-in, room floor, dietary requirements) are noted but cannot always be guaranteed.
Payment and Cancellation
A valid credit card is required to secure all reservations. Cancellation terms vary by rate plan:
- Flexible rates — free cancellation up to 48 hours before check-in. Cancellations within 48 hours forfeit the first night.
- Non-refundable rates — full payment charged at booking. No refunds for cancellation or no-show.
- Promotional / package rates — specific terms apply, indicated at the time of booking.
Refunds, where applicable, are processed to the original payment method within 7-14 business days.
Check-in and Check-out
- Check-in: from 3:00 PM.
- Check-out: by 12:00 PM (noon).
- Early arrivals or late departures may be requested and are subject to availability.
- Luggage storage is available for guests arriving before check-in or departing after check-out.
- Guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Guest Responsibilities
Guests are expected to:
- Respect quiet hours (10:00 PM – 8:00 AM) in and around the property
- Treat all rooms, facilities, and common areas with care
- Follow posted rules for pool use (open 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM)
- Refrain from smoking in rooms or non-designated areas (cleaning fees may apply)
- Not bring unauthorized guests onto the property without prior notice
- Comply with all applicable Costa Rican laws during your stay
Damage to property, lost keys, or excessive cleaning may result in additional charges.
Liability

- Loss of personal valuables — please use your in-room safe.
- Injury or illness arising from activities not directly arranged by the hotel.
- Disruption due to events beyond our control (weather, government action, force majeure).
- Third-party services booked through us (tours, transport, restaurants outside the property).

By using this website you agree to:
- Not use automated tools or bots to access or scrape our website
- Not attempt to interfere with or disrupt our booking systems or website security
- Not post false reviews or misrepresent your identity when contacting us
- Provide accurate information when creating reservations or contacting us
Applicable Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of San Jose, Costa Rica.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of our website or stays following changes constitute acceptance of the updated Terms. Significant changes will be communicated via email when possible.
